Looking for a good series to invest time in can be an impossible task at times. By the time you find something, you lose interest and end up scrolling youtube or Instagram or jump right back into F.R.I.E.N.D.S. If you’re looking for a door to enter into the world of kdrama or you’re exhausted of the high-school and college romance tropes, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of the most riveting kdramas you’ll ever come across. P.S. I might be a little biased because these are my absolute favourites.

  1. The Tale of the Nine-Tailed

The Tale of the Nine-tailed (also known as Tale of a Gumiho), starring Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo-Ah and Kim Bum is a fantasy drama that narrates the story of a over 1000 years old Gumiho (nine tailed fox) named Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) who was a mountain deity but gave up his status to live among humans. Yeon has been waiting for the love of his life, Ah-Eum to be reincarnated. He clashes with and eventually falls for a smart and dauntless human woman named Ji-Ah (Jo Bo-Ah) who is a producer at a TVC Station.

The series has an IMDb rating of 8 out of 10 and was released in 2020. It is a very popular series among kdrama fans as Lee Dong Wook is a heartthrob of many and he delivers an amazing performance in this series. The first season ended with a thrilling cliff-hanger, leaving fans craving for more. While everyone is hoping and waiting for a second season, I suggest you catch up on the first season of my favourite kdrama.
